My first Forever 21 experience.

Today, I got the chance to finally see Forever 21, the selfishly occupying fashion store at SM City Cebu North Wing. This very long store ate up more or less 3 stores (Leona’s bakeshop, Powerbooks, and uhmm, forgot). But it gave the space it occupied some justice.

Everything I saw in that store was so cool, it’s annoying. I mean, anywhere I turn my head to, something just captures my heart. (lol). And haven’t I mentioned, this store… sparkles? The floor; every Forever 21 word sparkles. And I saw some marketing strategy out there.

Not only did this store eat the more or less 3 stores that was formerly there, but it also ate up the corridor in front of them. Say, you are on the floor where F21 is. See those escalators on the left and right? Say, you are on the right side and you want to go to the other. You may just use the escalator to go down and another escalator to go up on the other side or…

Use the F21 entrance that is next to the escalator and do some window shopping as well. Of course there’s another corridor facing that giant F21 logo. But it seems far… and there are some really good stuff inside…

Okay. So I am the type of shopper that no matter how long I roam around, I (almost always) end up buying the first thing that caught my attention. Kinda silly, huh? Also, I noticed that there is a huge probability that one day, you will encounter a stranger that will wear the same thing that you bought. And worse, you’re wearing it too. And worse-r, you saw each other wearing it.

Anyway, I was originally planning to buy a bag. Long story short, I ended up buying a knitted top. I like knitted things though I’m in the Philippines. So, hmmm.

It was an overwhelming experience visiting this place, fighting to urge to buy every single nice thing and indirectly robbing my mom. I think everybody knows The Brand, but in case you don’t, gotta like it.

Merry Christmas! :)
